PSA: this is the 2018 model. The 2019 model comes in blue instead of red and is currently the one of the best laptops this year. Dont get the two confused.

Yea but a 1060 is enough for 1080p @120+. Just lower a few settings. I'm not sure the new version is worth $300+tax more. That's 20+%

It did go for $1000 on prime day 2-3 weeks ago with a 1660ti (full, no max q) and 9th gen i7.

Also I'm not sure if a 1060 really is enough for 120hz. Not sure, havent checked benchmarks.

With new 10th generation Intel processor's coming in a few months, these old 8th gen laptops will continue to drop in price.

At 1080p and medium settings it should be between 100-120 for most games. Medium is more than enough and 1080p isn't hard to run nowadays and 1060 is no slouch

Seems like a good deal at 899? At this time? (I know prices expected to drop.. ) but if I need a laptop now for gaming is this good?
