Journey, created by thatgamecompany, was just released on the Apple App Store [apple.com]. It's rated as one of the best games on PS3 and PS4 and is a joy to play with an amazing soundtrack.

As someone who plays my switch on hour long bus commutes with limited time at home, I do indeed enjoy playing my handheld on it. Don't try and limit how people enjoy games

I love this game. Can't believe it's now on mobile.

If you can't play this with headphones on, in one sitting, in front of a TV, I think you'll lose out on some of the experience. That's not to say it will be bad, because it won't. But this is a game that you just need to completely loose yourself in for like 3 hours, and I think that's going to be difficult on an iOS device.

That used to be true in the past.

Now, using a pair of nice headphones, using a game pad (if this game supports it), on a beautiful iPad screen, you can indeed get an amazing experience IMO.

Is this a sale price, or just a heads up? Only asking to know whether to buy now or give it some time (e.g. see if the port's solid, what people think of the mobile experience, etc)

I believe it's just a heads-up. It just launched today so the price could change. It's a surprise release and was previously unannounced I believe.

Amazing game. Highly recommend playing it on a TV though with quality sound... in one sitting. It's a couple hour game, but beautiful.

Hmm! I just got the PC version of Journey via Epic (and haven't started to play it yet).

But I also have an iPad 12.9"'.

So this is very truly a #FirstWorldProblem. Thoughts on which version would be more enjoyable to play? (I have great headphones to pair with the iPad, and also very nice speakers with my PC)

Wow. Where do you live? At least here in Austin, you're not very likely to be robbed.
