Front page and a number of thumbs ups, but no comments. Any model in particular really good or are we just thumb-upping the sale?

edit: That Powerdash model has great reviews on Amazon https://www.amazon.com/Hoover-Pow...way&sr=8-2 but it's like a carpet shampooer. I wish the normal vacuums had as good reviews.

I have a WindTunnel T-series and I don't like it much. The suction is just OK. Not a bad deal at $57.59 though.

I probably would like it better if I didn't also have a Shark (the poor man's Dyson haha) that I think is far better---but was close to $200 at Costco. Yeah, it's an apples to oranges comparison, but the Shark won me over.

TU here because sometimes you just want an inexpensive vacuum cleaner.

I have the Hoover Windtunnel 2 whole house rewind vacuum and the suction is very weak on tile floor. It has trouble picking up dry cheerios and cereal off the floor. The only thing I like about the vacuum is the rewind for the power cord.

Seems to be YMMV on the 20% discount in cart. Only the 10% promo code shows for me during checkout.

I can't vouch for their vacuums, but hoovers carpet cleaners and customer service are real bad. I was a sucker and gave them a 2nd chance on a carpet cleaner, six months later it was shot and customer service basically told me tough luck unless i was willing to pay more $ and it was technically still under warranty.

I had this before they updated to the rewind feature. The construction of it gave out after about 2 years ie the filter slot kept popping out because it had vibrated itself loose so it wouldn't hold itself in. I would lose pressure and have to bend over to push it back in. If I tapped a wall or a table, it would pop out again. I tried tape but eventually put it out on the curb.

I have this exact model since May 2016 that I bought to supplement a Dyson canister. This Hoover is one of the highest-rated on Consumer Reports for carpets, I think partly due to the fact this particular stripped-down model* amongst the T-series (which as a whole is not rated as well) is as direct-driven as possible with a low airflow impedance.

* It can't disengage the roller brush, i.e. not good for hard floor surfaces, and be careful where you let the vacuum rest even with the handle locked upright. The former is not a problem for me as we have the Dyson canister for hard floors.

It's fairly light (again, stripped-down) to carry between floors. It's very effective as a carpet vacuum. Cleaning out the dust canister and the washable filter can be easier; sometimes the dust bunny clump remains stuck in the canister and you have to persuade it out. The washable filter is dense and slower to dry than that of my Dyson canister. I ahven't had any particular problems with the cord Rewind feature (I do make it a point to keep the spring as low-loaded as possible by always returning the cord ASAP), but the cord is a little shorter-than-average.

I'm sure there are better upright vacuums, but I think this is up there in terms of value-for-performance if you don't use it for hard floors.
