Great router table but the top is MDF and swelled quickly, they do make a plastic/acrylic top for it

Is finding store location working for anyone? I keep seeing "Inventory is not available for stores nearby" to be able to do a ship to store

Spending tons on MDF always seemed odd for this very reason. I live in an area with excessive humidity, so MDF is a no go. I only use my router table for small projects, so this aluminum top Bosch [homedepot.com] has been great. It has gone on sale several times, and is well worth it. It's also easy to make a small and sturdy plywood base on the cheap.

If you have a table saw already, then I recommend this:

It's because it's dead flat and generally replaceable. Not my preference either but that's why.

Yeah, I really want a cast iron tabletop. Still hate rockler for cancelling our orders on the BenchDog cast iron package deal. But can settle for this one at least 1/2 the price, if I can place an order.

Order this a few months ago, and I did have a minor problem In the cut outs of the MDF I had noticed a crack in the MDF which ran horizontal to top. Kind of a bummer and looking at having everything about assembled, I was not wanting to tear it all down and return it to ACE.

Called Kreg and they took care of me sending me out a new top.

Kreg has very good customer service. In addition the table works great. At ~$350ish it is a no-brainer if you need/want a router table.
