I bought a pair of Rakuten(not this seller) and they were fake. I also have seen a bunch of other posts about receiving fakes. I would say you probably got a 50/50 shot.

Reviews for the seller seem pretty positive. Interested to hear what other folks think. Seems like a good deal for the price (and they do accept returns (minus shipping)).

They listed the lens width as 20mm and that is wrong! It's either 51, 55, or 58. Knowing the size before the purchase matters, otherwise, ill-fitting.

I saw this from the product page
  • Lens Width: 50mm
  • Bridge Width: 22mm
  • Temple Length: 150mm

They fixed it. The lens width was listed as 20mm. Regardless, 50mm is very small and narrow; 55 would be a good size; price is very good though.

The newer fakes are so hard to tell from authentic. There are some good YouTube videos that cover the VERY subtle differences. I suggest anyone buying heavily discounted Ray Bans to spend about 20 minutes going through the glasses closely. The old obvious give always are now faked well, like the etched RB on the lens. Need to look at very subtle differences in the fonts, packaging, hinges, etc.

Good luck!
