So 10k in each account to get $500 = 20k total deposits needed? If 20k needed topic should be updated to reflect this since 10k only gets you $250.

Prepare yourself for massive difficulty in opening account. Their process is obtrusive (requires dedicated cell phone) and cloaked in secrecy. You will even have a high likelihood of them rejecting you anyway for no stated reason.

(I ignored the warnings assuming that others were making mistakes. I paid the price of my time and disclosing private info to the bank)

I know some folks commented they had to upload license scans and stuff like that. And others were denied, like you mentioned.

Personally it was pretty easy to open for myself, but yeah, requires a cell phone. I didn't have an issue otherwise however.

Must have money in the simple bank for 90 days min. FDIC insured bank.
Pain in the ass to open the account for some people.

$250 for individual account.

$250 for "shared" account = shared meaning joint?

Not sure what this means. Why can't they provide a list of states that are ineligable? Are they unfamiliar with USA state requirements? Sounds fishy.

I did have a negative experience w/BBVA USA a few years back. Never did get the bonus.

I'll avoid this one, and recommend you do too.

I think inspir3d meant to own AT&T stock which pays a dividend that is equal to a yield of around 6% at today's share price.

But of course, there is a risk of owning stock as its share price fluctuates.

Tried to apply for a week. After clicking on the three "I Agree" checkbox, it gets stuck on a loading circle.

This bank is probably the worst I've ever worked with. I successfully opened an account and started to transfer funds with my bank. The one thing they don't tell you, is that there is a limit of $5000 for external bank transfers for new accounts in the first 30 days of opening. So how are you supposed to get the other $5000 to hit the $10k requirement for the promo?
