Keep in mind - if you pick it up in the store you might be able to get $5 Kohl's cash.

As a "thank you" for choosing store pickup, you'll get $5 Kohl's Cash after you've picked up your order. Customers are only eligible for one Kohl's Cash® incentive per 24 hour period, even if multiple qualifying orders are picked up.
Example: On Monday, a customer places an order for store pickup. On Tuesday, the customer places another separate order for store pickup. If the customer picks up both orders on the same day, they will only receive one Kohl's Cash® incentive, even if both orders qualify for the incentive.

That brings down the cost even more.

These are great for school or around the house. I too would never run in them.

I got two pair with tax for $37.08 - less $5 for when I pick it up - less $1.75 earned on this purchase from Kohl's cash = $30.33 for two pairs of sneakers one for me and one for my 12 year old for back to school. (I will not even wait until Sunday for tax free week here in Maryland.)

Nice deal, providing you're not a shoe snob! I'm all set on the Fila Headway 7 trail shoes already, thanks to some blowout deals from Sears a year or two ago. They seem comparable to lots of Asics shoes I've gone through, at about 1/4 of the cost.

Great daily wearers and workout shoe, including running (although its pavement for me). Last me about 6-7 months typically--just like Asics!

Fila shoes are junk. I bought these a few months back. Started falling apart after wearing for a few weeks. Asics are soooooo much better.

Maybe bottom of the barrel Asics, but even then I would be surprised. I've had nothing but good luck with Asics. They are high quality, comfortable and last long time, in my experiences. But yes, they are a lot more expensive than on-sale Fila's, generally speaking.

With that said, I do think Fila's offer attractive & decent quality options at rock bottom prices.

Based on low quality made in China just purchase it and convince your self
South Korean company bought the Italian company out about a dozen years ago.

Yeah, I can concur with this. I bought a few pairs of Filas from Kohls a few months back, and within days the bottom tread that is differently colored started to peel away. Later soles started to separate from the shoe.

Overall if I can get Filas for under 20 each, I'll snag them for just simple shoes to use around the house, painting, mowing the grass, etc. But for actual hiking, running and using them for their intended purpose - I'd rather save up the money and buy quality.

That being said, they are comfortable and look nice. You get what you pay for.

I would only buy the mesh/sock version of Fila. Easy returns as there are Kohl's everywhere. I get Asics and NB through Rakuten for $25 or so when listed here. I beat those shoes and get about 2 years out of them.
