Have a couple of these and honestly they kinda suck, hing always comes apart in the back, plastic is too thin to fill it up with anything without it getting out of shape and making it difficult to latch.

Do you have any alternative suggestions?

Depends on your usage. I'm a big fan of the Centrex 27 gal black/yellow storage totes for damn near everything. If you're looking for something with wheels, I don't have a suggestion. I got these awhile back to use with outdoors/sporting related stuff because of the wheels and they just were too flimsy for it.

I can recommend these boxes. I recently bought 4 for vacation packing. They can be stacked in my SUV or put on a luggage rack. If you should receive with a broken latch, call the manufacturer and they will quickly send a set to you.

I have 2 of these and they've help up fine for 4-5 years of car camping. They aren't pelican case quality but they should last a few years if you keep it's limitations in mind.

I have 2 of these in black and honestly they take up a lot of space for how little they are able to hold. Alot of wasted space with the mold and shape of the container. Hinge also comes apart as stated in other comments

Terrible quality. Just spend $10 or less (with military discount or something) more and get a rolling husky tough box. That'll last for a long amount of time, plus makes a nice seat a job sites or tail gates Smilie

Agreed, pass on the hinged lid and get the 1919 (removeable lid) model instead.

Another vote here for the issues.

I've had a few of these for around 4-5 years and used them mostly for ski trips to lug gear in and out of ski condos.

Originally appealing because of the size and wheels but the quality is low (But expected in this price range) enough that the wheels break going down stairs with any reasonable load inside.

The hinge gets out of whack and is a pita and leads to further failure.

Also, the capacity (what it actually holds) for the size is not good. The moulding of the plastic provides some rigidity for the thin walls but reduces actual usable space.

I still use them to store stuff in the garage but don't travel with them anymore for these reasons.

Stanley makes a good storage case with wheels
