SVS SoundPath 3m RCA subwoofer cable

It has been $31.85 for long time and just came down to $28.72 for 3m cable. 2m/5m cables are also about $1~$2 cheaper than usual amazon price. Not sure about other lengths as I haven't monitored them.

Great find. I have their speaker cables and I really like them. These RCA's appear to have the same build. If I didn't already have so many speaker cables and audio interconnects in general, I'd definitely pick this up!

Is there really that much of a difference? Especially, in my case, a three foot run?

Depends on what you're using, but likely no.

Personally, I'd grab some RG6 coax, slap some RCA connectors and call it a day. It's the same type of cable for subwoofer runs.

Somewhere in your receiver settings should be a way to do a tone test. Or you can touch the very edge of the subwoofer speaker and see if it's moving.

As someone who owns this cable, I couldn't be happier and would recommend it to anyone. Is there a premium because it's an SVS cable? Sure. But when you're spending $500-$2,500 on one of their subs, it doesn't really seem like all that much.

as long as the different cable has some shielding, no diff between this and something else.

This is a bargain site, not a "I spent so much on something else then why not" site. $30 isn't a lot of money, but you could spend 20% less [amazon.com]and instead paying for the SVS name, get cables made by no B.S. pro cable specialists: Mogami and Amphenol. I doubt you could buy this quality of cable and connectors and make them yourself without spending more. Plus you are getting a great story to tell your friends about how they are made and who uses them.

Or for a real bargain.AmazonBasics sub cable might not have the cachet of Mogami/Amphenol, but its $9 [amazon.com] and sounds every bit as good, with excellent quality connectors that will not short or fall off. 10% off a cable with no benefits but the brand name is not a good deal.

Not every cable is made the same, nor do they all sound the same. A few months back I replaced a couple of monoprice subwoofer cables with mediabridge ones and you could instantly hear a difference.

This is a deal site, not a bargain site. And what is a deal to one person may not be a deal to someone else. Saving 10% on something that rarely goes down in price is a deal to you if you want that product.

People say that all HDMI cables are the same. I've found that not to be true. I've had better luck with some brands over others. One brand i had issues with when it came to 4K content was Amazon, so now I avoid them.
