"I don't want one, so that means no one else wants one either!"

Best handheld for small kids, IMO. Cheap, comfortable to hold, large game library, and built like a tank. The 2DS XL may be superior, but in the hands of a child I'd trust this model more.

Stop it, just stop it.

The 2DS and the XL have been easy to have for rock bottom prices. If you're willing for a lightly used off fleabay or hunt for a good deal elsewhere, the potential price drop 3 months away is asinine.

Here's what you do, buy this deal now at this very great price. Play the included game a lot and then play your extra game as well. Heck, Animal Crossing is a game I still play after getting years ago. You'll have a lot of fun or you kids or whatever. Go to your local used gaming store and pick up any title from the DS or 3DS line of games, there's a gazillion. You can probably pick up a few for under $20. Spectacular games. And even if this is $15 cheaper in 3 months, that will be washed out by the entertainment value.

I'm so tired of it, you'll wait 3 months, possible the hassle of staying up or refreshing a page for black friday deals to save $15? This isn't some expensive electronic that may go from $800 today and be on sale black friday for $500 which is decent savings to the every-man. Just buy one if you want it.

I just bought a 2DS XL a few weeks ago. Small size + relatively inexpensive + large game library + ease of hacking to run emulators = big win for me, at least.

They are phasing out the entire 3ds and 2ds - Nintendo is making a less expensive switch with non removable controllers and no HDMI port. Therefore the less expensive switch is replacing the 2ds and 3ds. It's great for the consumer as well - cartridges for the switch as opposed to cartridges for the ds line and switch line.

This is wonderful! My oldest (6) has a blue 2DS and my youngest (3) loves to use it and they fight!

Thank you, Bestbuy, as I may be able to finally salvage my 3DS from sticky fingers..

No HDMI port is the graphic going to suck?
They can cut costs by loosing the HDMI port and removable controllers. So soon there will be two models of the switch. (think iPhone xs vs xr or S10 vs s10e)

here is an article explaining it. (and because of this article, it is my belief that the ds line and cartridges will soon be obsolete)

Graphics will be exactly the same as the output as a 'handheld' on a regular switch. The HDMI output was something completely different resolution wise, and with that removed, it made the handheld cheaper (alongside no joycons!)
