Yeah $350 AFTER rebate, that mean most of us have to pay taxes on $450.

For anyone on the fence, these are really good speakers, and a great price regardless of rebate. Also, I think these are a bit better than the 707's if you already have a subwoofer. if you don't have a sub, they can still get down low pretty good, but the 707's would have the advantage then.

What about the folks that ordered this deal a couple weeks ago through adorama? My purchase date was 7-27. Would be nice if the dates from the previous (identical) sale were included.

I have always loved my LSi9 bookshelf speakers(purchased about 9 years ago), paired with a custom built SVS-12 (swapped out woofer and some internals). Curious how these compare.

So if SD gets a $100 kickback per sale and offers a $100 mail in rebate... you are going to seriously tell me that you do not benefit from declined rebate submissions? Companies make millions in profits due to people not completing mail in rebates.

Statistically only about 40% of people redeem mail-in rebate offers. It is called "breakage". The industry banks on people not redeeming. Bloomberg estimated mail-in rebate breakage to provide about $2 Billion in profits to companies. Dell has perfected this to a science with their 90 day promo cards.

If Slickdeals truly cared about passing savings on to consumers, they would do so with an instant rebate and not mail-in.
Stop whining. All you have to do, is what is instructed to get your rebate. Both slickdeals and those who follow the rules benefit from the slackers. Why would anyone complain about this? Without the slackers, this deal wouldn't exist.

Thanks for checking on that and posting. Unfortunately, $200 is not worth a return and re-purchase for me. I'm already hooked up and enjoying.

You can only return the item if it arrives damaged, or they send the wrong thing. If you just "don't like it", it costs you the return shipping label.

You had to be that guy, didn't you Wink !
Then you had to be so vague! So "about the same"?
Well 1st your comparing a bookshelves vs a tower/floor standing speakers.
Then they are going to sound much different from each over for many reasons.
There are many variables but in general if your layout is on the smaller side the Kef's may work out with a good sub for HT.
If you haven't listened to either you might want to do that 1st because ultimately only you can determine if they "sound the same" to you.

Thank you my dude. I'm legit lost in the world of audio; so many choices, and I have nowhere close I could audition any of them.. bestbuy has a very small selection, but none are interweb favorites. I need bookshelf speakers for the aesthetics, but the 703's are freaking gigantic. Help a dude out: I got 2 subs and need lcr for ht for a small room.

So SlickDeals rebate can be applied to two speakers or only one?
