Just got a Greentoe price drop alert on the LG OLED55C9PUA . $1399 is new low price from an authorized dealer as far as I can tell. Seems like a great deal on the new model! This is via Greentoe, just place an offer at 1399. They don't charge tax in my state but that may differ depending on where you live.

Assuming you bought it for around $1000 (that is the price over the last month or so) then I don't think so. That is a $400 difference and I personally wouldn't do it. I myself got a C8 for $914 and have no second thoughts about it. I will save the $475 and get the new model in a couple years. I feel like with technology, we are always behind so no point chasing and overspending for the latest as that will be old within a year! I have been replacing my main TV every 3-4 years so I can wait till content catches up.

depends on how much you paid. if its close to this price, I would. E series got extra speakers 4.1 compared to C series speakers 2.1. if that is important then I would keep E8.

I upgrade much less frequently but that HDMI 2.1 spec is hard to pass up (4K120hz). Current graphics cards don't have that just yet but next gen consoles should be at least compatible with that spec. Running most current games at 4K120fps is another story.
