Just got a Greentoe price drop alert on the LG OLED55C9PUA . $1399 is new low price from an authorized dealer as far as I can tell. Seems like a great deal on the new model! This is via Greentoe, just place an offer at 1399. They don't charge tax in my state but that may differ depending on where you live.

I pondered this offer, but ultimately felt like the 65" B8 from Dell for around $1100 after discounts was a better value.

Even though I wanted the HDMI 2.1 and other goodies with the C9, I gamed plenty on my B6 and it is phenomenal, so I just didn't think it was worth paying $300 more and losing 10" of screen real estate for almost the same PQ...

Your better alternative would have been waiting 2-4 months for the 65" C9 to potentially start running discounts in the $1500-$1700 range. If you game and plan to keep it as your primary display the next 3+ or 5+ years I think you'd been better off holding out. High frame rate 4K, variable refresh rate, and (possibly) quick frame transport are paradigm shift level features for next-gen GPU's and consoles and would be well worth the extra $400-$600 as a longer term investment. With the caveat that they actually work, the C9's chipset is so far ahead of the curve it almost seems experimental and may wind up having buggy or partial support when source devices are actually available. That said if you don't game, or plan to upgrade/flip it within a year or two, you definitely made the right call. A 55" of any type should have never been in contention unless you're budget absolutely can not exceed $1000, or you physically don't have the space to accommodate it.

Yeah, I might've pondered waiting actually, but I needed a TV now, since the glass on my B6 got cracked Frown But nevertheless, I am getting older and barely game anymore, so I don't know that the extra $400-600 would have been worth it even then...

Submitted and accepted $1459 55" LG C9. I figured $59 now over what $1399 Black Friday price will be.

Funny thing is I just Returned and refunded the same TV on amazon cuz I bought it on July 2nd for $1996 + tax = $2100 6 days later they lowered it to $1796 where it sits now.

24 hours later I buy another LG C9 55" oh well If it goes lower than $1399 on Black Friday I can kick myself.

Assuming you bought it for around $1000 (that is the price over the last month or so) then I don't think so. That is a $400 difference and I personally wouldn't do it. I myself got a C8 for $914 and have no second thoughts about it. I will save the $475 and get the new model in a couple years. I feel like with technology, we are always behind so no point chasing and overspending for the latest as that will be old within a year! I have been replacing my main TV every 3-4 years so I can wait till content catches up.
Where did you get a C8 for that price

It was from Beach Camera through Ebay. Deal was posted here on SD. Was $949 with another coupon for $35 off for a net of $914. Was a FP deal about a month ago (end of June I think).

I am not sure how it got worked for you . But for me didn't worked . I tried 2 times its didn't worked , simply they made to wait wait .... First n second experience is bad so don't want to try again. May be you are luckiest person it got worked . I got know this web site is not exist in lg authorized dealers list . Better to avoid buy from this website . Again it depends on customer choice

Put in an offer for $1400 and got a counter-offer for $1527.
Being in WA State and 10% tax, this comes out to $1388 + tax.
I think that's reasonable and certainly the lowest price I can find at the moment.
