Not sure I'd agree a 3.33% discount over all other sellers is a slick deal but if you're in the market and want to save $10, I guess it makes sense.

its a good price though for the specs and monitors are so unique in the boxes they check for what people want. No HDR, no 4k for a 32" and 5ms response time is too many unchecked for me.

Isn't every monitor with FreeSync and 120hz+ compatible with Xbox and PS4? Not sure why this needs to be stated.

It's stated because not every high refresh rate monitor can do 120+hz over hdmi which you need for the Xbox. My monitor is 144 only over DisplayPort

Update: Looks like Xbox One X doesn't support many monitors with 120hz / 1440p. Seems to be an issue for a lot brands/models of monitors. LG may support lower resolutions @ 120hz (hard to say). The Pixio specifically lists it here so it *should* work.

I can't say how it performs with the Xbox One X but I do have the LG 32GK650F. Some of the notable differences:

LG = 144hz
Pixo = 165hz
For the xbox? Not sure it matters. The specs list 120hz compatibility - is it locked to 120hz on the xbox?

LG monitor has a huge sturdy stand compared to the pixio. The LG can turn to portrait mode and is easy to adjust the height. Also tilt. Looks like the Pixio only does tilt. For gaming I imagine it wouldn't matter much.

Both have similar amount of inputs (DP + 2 HDMI). Not sure what the Pixio ease of use / menu / features are in comparison but the LG is easy to use.

The LG viewing angles aren't bad. They're not as good as my old Dell IPS monitors and I imagine the Pixio will be similar with both being VA panels.

That's my half ass comparison for you. Probably comes down to panel comparisons which will need an online review to discuss (color representation / brightness etc..)

10 bucks off Xbox live? Front page, 256 upvotes, 18 pages of comments.

10 bucks off something more expensive like this monitor... 'meh'

It doesn't make any sense. Either saving 10 bucks on something is a good deal - or it isn't.

Why does the original price of the item make any difference if the savings are the same?
because of https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anchoring

That's not an actual explanation for the behavior though. It's just putting a name on the behavior. I find it odd.

Sounds like what you want isn't a gaming monitor then as there are no affordable 4K 144hz options available.

Playing devil's advocate here... Same would apply if you were buying expensive furniture or a car. Doubt you will care if one is 10 dollars more than another. Other factors will put probably drive your decision other than price. People like to compare things relatively not absolutely.

For me it's more about the percent off. I wouldn't be excited about 3% off Xbox Live.
