Got one of these last time. Came with some scuffs and a dirty canister. They didn't even bother to change the filters. The first time I fired up the unit I noticed a strange odor. My wife quickly noticed it smelled like someone else's dirty house, which was true. I spent a long while cleaning the canister, soaking the filters in vinegar, and putting baking soda through every hose, nook, and cranny to get the smell off. It's 95% gone now but if I wouldn't have purchased if I knew it would come that way. Ultimately, it wasn't worth the hassle of a return since it did work well. I think it's still worth it at this price if you're willing to go through a return if you get one like me. Thanks OP for posting and repped.

Bought this last deal (2.5 months ago) when it was $54.40 after coupon ($64-9.60). It came in immaculate condition and works extremely well. No complaints yet.

Only a 90 day warranty. Standard Shark warranty is 5 years.

Bought one a while back (not sure if it's the exact model but they look similar) a bit more expensive. I guess with refurbished units, it's always hit and miss. The one I received looked brand new, with brand new filters still sealed in the bag. I bought some cheap filters from Amazon just so that I can wash them and rotate while they're drying. Great suction, easy to use, and easy to maintain.

I have had two of these. The first one lasted about 60 days before it broke, being used two to three times a week. Second one broke just after 90 days. Even with light use, these break quickly. I recommend that this model be avoided.

Ordered one back in February. Came in pristine condition and works great. Not the slightest of issues.

I got one last time and had the same scuff/dirty experience but without the odor issue you had. I kept it too.

Amazon has them for $10 more, but I added a 4 year warranty for about $6.00 more. Newegg wanted a lot more for their warranty.

I got a shark refurb last time around. It came in near new condition. Verry happy with it.

I also got this last time and mine was for all intents and purposes new. No visible scuffs or scratches and no bad smells. Guess I won the refurb lottery. Assuming that you don't get a bad one this is a great price on a great vacuum. Only thing I don't like is that the cord isn't retractable but its not a show stopper.
