One needs polarized sunglasses only if there is a definite glare. Fishing, for example, where the water surface provides the glare.
The price/performance ratio is good on this pair. May even be considered as a second pair to one you already own.

Great price on a name brand pair of sunglasses, albeit not polarized.
I would argue that the chance of presence of glare is higher than not - most outdoor activities, including fishing, benefit from flare reduction. I use my polarized pair for driving.
