T-Mobile/Costco has a new offer for iPhone XR, but it's not as good as previous deals.

It's Buy 1 Get 1 Free --- Up to $750 back in the form of virtual prepaid card.
Requires adding a new line on Magenta Plus plan (2 lines for new customers).

Only good thing about this promo is they allow up to six $750 rebates/account (for 12 lines).
The plan costs $50/line up to 4 lines, or $40/line up to 12 lines.

Depending on Costco rep you get, it might be possible to combine this with $150/line offer posted earlier: https://i.ibb.co/MgbcctZ/Redbox1-2.png, https://slickdeals.net/f/13295716

May be someone can try upgrade from T-Mobile One plan ( Assuming u have 2 lines already ) to magenta plus, take the offer adding a line, once you get rebate in about 2-3 months, then downgrade back to magenta plan along canceling added line. Does anyone think this would work? Only downside is you will loose Netflix hd or 2 screen option.

It is possible to downgrade from magenta plus to magenta.

Well that sucks. Thanks for clarifying.
They decided to stop the earlier deal where you get upto $750 prepaid card for just adding a line for existing account and 2 lines if you are opening a new account. The Rep at Costco said that it T mobile did not get Koch profit as most of the customers were cancelling the line after 6-8 weeks

What do customers do after they cancel after they get the bonus? Are there better deals than T Mobile?

yes. if you contact customer service they can approve it even earlier depending on the rep and account history.
I was always under the impression the iPhones are unlocked via iTunes. That is how I have unlocked my old ones in the past. I have never called to have them unlocked. I just pay a few bucks to have them unlocked on eBay or through IMEI unlocker. I reset my phone in iTunes and now it can be used on any network.

calling saves people the few bucks ($109 current lowest price) it'll cost on ebay. but it's same process of connecting to itunes in both cases.

I think this worked out well for me.

I had 4 lines to transfer in from Cricket. I ported 3 lines to Magenta Plus last week via BMP using the REDBOX1 promo code. T-Mobile are still doing the 3rd line on us for Magenta Plus plan so the plan total for 3 lines was $140 with autopay. With the REDBOX1 promo code I'm getting 2 x $150 back in Visa gift cards. It would be 3 x $150 but the 3rd line doesn't qualify since it is free.

Today I went to Costco to port over the final line. I brought 2 iphones XRs ($700 each) as part of the 'Buy two iPhone XR Get up to $750 back.' I have all the paperwork for the rebate so just need to submit and wait. The additional line added $30 to the total plan ($170) which isn't too bad. Only $10 more than the standard Magenta plan. Not tied into bill credits either.

do a chat with costco and find out.
would be good if they do since they have had the xr for $50 less than retail. So let's say $549 for a 64gb xr
