Seems like a good deal. Ordered one for store pickup. Main use for me will be power outages from storms. Hopefully no hurricanes this year but I'll be more prepared if it happens.

Update: Ordered for store pickup. Got an email today saying it's not in stock. Order will be canceled in 3 days if I don't go ahead and cancel now. Uhhhhh......

If these are on clearance, have they been discontinued? If so, what good is the warranty if they stop making them?

items can be on clearance for many different reasons. the original manufacturers warranty still applies (3 years). if you have an issue they will either fix it, replace it with the same model (if available) or a comparable new model.

Briggs is an unsleeved aluminum cylinder and Honda has a cast iron sleeve. At least that's how it is with regular lawnmower engines.

Junk, be aware of this product.
This opinion isn't helpful unless you tell us why you think so. Also it is "beware" not "be aware".

Wonder why the running watts vs the starting watts is so far apart? Usually it's like a 2k. 10k start 8k run and so on. Still rocking my durostar Gen that usually goes on sale few times a year. Been pretty reliable so far. My dad bought "the beast" 12k start 10k run dual fuel and we've been running 2 big grain bin fans while running a7k watt unloading auger at same time with it. It puts a big load on it but handles it like a champ so far.

This one if u can catch it on sale.

Duromax and durostar is basically the same company I think the only difference is one might carb compliant and one is not for California. And maybe an option or 2 that is really negligent. Atleast that is as of my research as of a year ago. Could be different now

Maybe it's the reverse-logic, Jedi mind tricks of a master shrill ! "Be aware of this product..".
