Help finding the best place to exchange money? USD TO GBP

8 14 August 9, 2019 at 01:21 PM
Can you guys help me with how to get the most from the current exchange rate? I've been watching the dollar get stronger and stronger against the pound sterling and I'm getting ready to leave for a 12-day vacation on September 1st. currently the pound is the lowest I've ever seen it against the dollar. I've tried to look online and through my bank at where I'm going to get the most for my money so I have the most spending money and I'm getting totally lost and confused. Some people say to use a gift card like a Visa gift card? Other people say to exchange through a Bank I just said really could use some help figuring out where I could get the most for my dollar.

Usually, using a CC with a decent exchange rate\no foreign exchange fees is the best way to deal with stuff like this. There is no reason to be carrying much foreign currency.

For whatever amount you think you need to carry see:

Though I would shop around and see if your local bank\credit union will do it for you as the commercial banks usually are the worst at everything.
