I would never recommend an extinguisher this small. You're just setting yourself up for disaster. Instead of getting these 4 pounders, get one that's 10lbs or more. Most fires occur when we're asleep. You'll need something more than a 4 pounder to make a path of escape if the fire is out of control. Just my opinion 🙃

They actually only contain 2.5lbs of powder. The 4 pounds is the entire unit weight. A 2.5lbunit will exhaust its supply in under 10 seconds. Rated at 1A10BC means it's equal to 1 gallon of water on class A fires, 10 square feet for the average user on B fires, and C just means it won't conduct electricity. I too would suggest something at least twice if not four times the size and a higher made in the USA brand like Amerex or Ansul. They use much higher quality parts. A fire extinguisher is not something you want to cheapen out on as when you need it you might regret it. And then it'll be too late.
