Looks like you need to also subscribe to Starz to get this deal - additional $9/month.

I dropped Sling when they dropped Fox Regional Sports...

Looks like FSN/FS1/FS2 are only in the Blue pkg. iirc I used to get Orange + Sports Extra that had everything for the college football/basketball seasons. Sling has upped their pricing as well. I have a feeling these streaming services will end up w/ fewer & fewer a la carte options until they're just like Cable.

YouTube TV - splitting the cost with family members.

Still using AirTV for remote OTA access though.

Fox Regional Sports, such as FSN, was dropped a couple of weeks ago. FS1 and FS2 - which are different - still available.

But will this work with existing/past Sling accounts? We need a new stick but have basically used all our emails for past trial/permanent accounts and I'm too old to be creating bogus accounts just to save a few bucks especially given that we've also used all our credit cards and they use those to make sure you're not gaming the system.

Btw is there an even cheaper alternative to Sling? We only watch a few channels these days and the major new networks, e.g. CNN, MSNBC (Sling doesn't carry Fox News). Any way to get the latter for less, perhaps even directly? We mostly watch OTA (especially since the recent realignment) and Prime.

Philo is $20/month. Locast is "free" if you are in an area they service.

Not looking to pirate anything, at least on a regular basis. $35/mo isn't a lot but I just don't watch enough of it for it to make sense.

Find someone to split it with.

Again, illegal, not interested, even if "everyone does it".

Philo is not "pirating" but a cheaper alternative to sling with less channels and features. You can compare channel lineup and streaming services in this article. https://clark.com/technology/tvsa...-services/

Pluto TV is a free streaming service not on the list but also worth mentioning.

Not necessarily illegal and often allowed. Sling allows streaming on 3 devices if you have a blue account or blue+orange. Netlfix allows it with a premium account which is what I share with my parents. You can read up a little more about the legality of account sharing here if interested:

Minor correction. You get 3 streams with blue and one with orange, even if you subscribe to both. So for example you could have three streams of NFL Network since its in blue but you only get one stream with ESPN because its in orange. Much of what's in Orange is Disney, who is overprotective of their content.

And yes, the head of HBO a few years back said he LOVED people sharing passwords, because it increased the chances that one of the "leechers" would get their own sub.

I share HBO Now, Netflix and Sling with 2 other people. None of us would subscribe to any of them independently because none of us watch all three or any one of the three extensively. So all three are getting paid instead of none of them. At best one or two of us would sub for a month, watch all of the new stuff, and then unsubscribe for 3-4+ months.

I have read some stuff that some of these streaming services already or plan to require that all streams originate from the same IP address. Since I use a phone with the carriers LTE, a wireless hotspot with another IP address to use a chromebook when I'm out, and a roku player at home, I'd have three (at least) IP addresses which means I won't buy those services. Period.
