If this is anything like the Stranger Things carnival on the Santa Monica Pier, this is going to be absolutely insane in terms of lines/wait times.

For $70 in gasoline people will wait for hours. That's like $300 in anything else in the mind of an average american. That stuff is expensive.
Especially with that gas tax hike that no one but then-Governor Brown wanted and the failure of Prop 6 because of the non-stop fear monger ad that kept playing until Election Day last year.

Parking will likely cost you more than whatever deal you are trying to get.
Do you live in LA? Only tourists pay a lot because they don't know where to park. All of those places have validated parking. It usually free or like $2 if you don't stay for an extended amount of time.

Yes, I live in LA. For some places there may be free or low cost options.

Places like American, for instance, you either pay (or get validation) to park in their garage, park in the street which is metered, or park at the Glendale galleria.

No need to wait in line at that chevron to get gas. Just park your car somewhere nearby and bring a gallon gas container and bum at the pump. Sir, can you spare me a 30cents gallon? Then store it in a big container on your truck.

20 gallon max, get 4 bums & some 5 gallon cans. Not hard to do in Santa Monica. LMAO

Check out the restaurant section -- fantastic and historic deli's and hamburger joints here. Props to AMZN marketing people for coming up with this promo, nicely timed to coincide with Emmy voting period.

Almost worth the annual drive from the desert to the city. Canter's, Pinks, a manicure, Art's, and a nite at the Roosevelt or Sportsmen's Lodge. Sounds like fun.

Be sure to read the fine print before making the trek please. Specifically the hotel part. It seems as if you have to appear in person to get a room. Still it could be fun. Just have a back up plan.
