I bought this from the last sale and had to return it, definitely not what I thought it would be, field of view is not that big, and I could never get all of the corners in the field of view no matter how much I adjusted it, so I would always have a blur on one side, I'm now thinking about picking up the Oculus vr

Really bad reviews:

There isn't even a thing to block out the light around you. Bet this is about as immersive as jamming your face up to your monitor.

"Immerse yourself in your favorite content without being completely cut off from your surroundings"
That is just an excuse for why it doesn't block out the light. This company is pretty shameless.

Have one as well. Agreed about the lack of immersion but I beileve that this headset is a good purchase at this pricepoint for having a HT like experience during train, plane or car rides or just sitting in your bed. You can even use this with the wife next to you sleeping and it shouldn't bother too much.

I was hoping to use this as a PS4 gaming device using a PS compatible phone (Sony Xperia). But the lag was just too much for it to be playable.

The built in headphones are pretty decent and I really like the fact that you can see around you if you need to pick up your phone or tablet to bring up a new app or watch a new show without having to take off the headset.

This is not a substitute for a VR headset and shouldn't be thought as such but it does fit a small niche of usefullness for those that want a solo HT experience on the go and/or without bothering those in the immediate vicinity. Also this works well in just about any light condition (though I admit I haven't used these outdoors).

It's also nice that the product comes with the ability to adjust the optics for those that have slightly bad eyesight (I think the range is up to one diopter in adjustment..)

My biggest beef with the headset is comfort as the nose pieces that it came with never felt comfortable to me. I need to try and create a mod with some foam glued to the headset's nose piece location and I'm sure it will be a better experience over a longer watching period.

Most of the bad reviews were based on the original MSRP ($800). For this price I think the product is work it if you understand what you're getting.
