Since when? I have been using Amazon multiple times a week for years now and returned dozens of items and never once have I paid a restocking fee on anything although on returns where the item isn't defective you have to pay return shipping.
It's different for laptops. Check the fine print on laptops on Amazon. I didn't say it was for all items. It was if the laptop had been opened and used they can charge up to 15%.

It should only have one or two and it can be uninstalled. If you really want a completely clean version, the windows activation information should be included in your motherboard and will activate every time you install windows. Just download from Microsoft.

Can anyone comment on battery life for this specific model? I work remotely from my van and saw the snapdragon model of this laptop boasts a 14 hour battery life! Thinkpad T480 is around 17 hours.

Just weighing my options here. This is going to be used for online poker and Netflix daily.

Performance wise, that HP Pavilion 15Z is better but this deal is better in every other aspect. Pavilon is HP's lower tier Consumer model, below Spectre and Envy series, having almost complete Plastic construction, a very dim and so so display and suffers from throttling.
On the other hand, this Yoga 730 is the second best Consumer line from Lenovo, after their 900 seriies and in my opinion this is better choice if you are not planning for gaming. The reasons are: -
  1. Way better build quality and Thermals. This is completely made of aluminium alloy, having Back-lit Keyboard and better cooling.
  2. Better security with Fingerprint reader.
  3. 2-in-1 Form factor with Active Pen support which makes it very versatile.
  4. Thunderbolt 3 port which is a very rare addition at this price point. You can add external GPU box for gaming or TB3 docks to connect multiple 4K monitors and tons of accessories to replicate a Desktop environment.
  5. The Wi-Fi card on this is way better with 2x2 antennas.
Lmao, HP < Lenovo.. especially if you wanna talk about PERFORMANCE.

Is this similar in sturdiness like the Thinkpad?
Not even close. Sorry. I see them damaged all the time and sometimes it isn't pretty. These convertibles are built thin and lightweight. The hinge mechanisms and connecting hardware are their big weak spots.

Thanks, I see another reply below saying there isn't a lot of bloatware and you can simply uninstall it.

I'll have to see...haven't took it out the box yet
