Read up on bloat. For larger dogs, it's safer for them to eat/drink from ground level like their wild ancestors did. The larger elevated bowls are for dogs with arthritis, etc.

though not the intended use, I use this bowl to keep candy and crackers for my coworkers.

If you buy 2 and choose slow shipping, you get $1 credit back for use in digital content if you are a prime member.

Bought two. Total $1.74 after tax, and comes with $1 credit. Thanks OP!

Not worth the plastic to buy one. If your dog is more then 4 lbs get them a proper bowl where they don't have to dip their head down to eat their own food.

not sure why you feel this way? to my understanding, and feel free to correct me if I'm wrong:

Low Feeding:
"Sitting at floor level, the low feeding system offers a more traditional mealtime experience for your pet, allowing them to eat and drink from the ground. These pet bowls are appropriate for dogs and cats who do not exhibit any behavioral issues during mealtime, or for pets who do not suffer from any physical and/or digestive health problems."

High Feeding:
"The raised stand of this system elevates the pet bowls off the floor, which may be more comfortable for pets with hip and joint conditions. The elevated pet bowls are appropriate for pets with behavioral issues during mealtime such as aggressive eating or food burying, as well as digestion-related issues such as megaesophagus."

I picked up one so that I have a spare feeding set for when his usual bowls are in the dishwasher.

Do your pets a favor and give them glass bowls to eat and drink out of. Plastic items harbor too much bacteria vs glass bowls.
