grabbed one, no bluetooth so you'll need a way to convert your phone to an aux/audio jack if that's where you plan to listen to music from. I'll use a USB-C to female audio adapter and an aux cable. My neighbors will appreciate this vs blasting the inside stereo loud enough to be heard outside

I've heard it's a pretty solid unit

I love it, but a charger and battery are 45 bucks so I could use it somewhere without a power port and that extra money kills it or I would do it

I checked reviews before ordering, the only negative is people complaining about no bluetooth but I have an aux cable and USB-C audio adapter. I have mostly 18v tools but I have a couple 2.0 AH 12v batteries for a 2-tool kit I bought a while back.

According to comments on the woot forums, the radio does not come with the Bosch lithium battery which would set you back about $33 or so. If you already have Bosch tools that use the same battery then no worries

What is AMFM radio??
It's an App installed on your device that was introduced n the 1920's and popularized in the 1930's on cars to make the driving experience less boring. You don't have to download it as it comes pre-installed. But as with all pre-installed App, you cannot remove it from your device. Smilie

That's who this deal's for, it'd be silly to purchase this if not already in the ecosystem. Sure it has an AC cord, but the appeal of this is its cordless ability if you needed to take it outside the shop. If all you needed was a corded radio, there's better options with built in bluetooth.

Can anyone comment on the quality of sound and battery usage rate? I'm trying to see if this is a better option than my current Bluetooth speaker.

I don't see the appeal of this item unless you already have a bunch of 12v Bosch batteries to use up, and also like listening to talk radio or ball games. Otherwise, a Bluetooth speaker streaming Spotify or Pandora, or your own songs, is probably a better option for most.

I only have two 12v batteries so if this radio came with a battery I would still consider it, but sadly it does not.

Sirius XM music sounds like garbage IMO, it's too compressed. If you want music you're better off with a music streaming service like Spotify/Play Music. Satellite radio is good for talk and a few specially channels though, it does have a place. A good FM signal does sound better than satellite radio for music, though I still don't see myself listening to/defending FM lol. I bought this Bosch radio solely to use the aux input for listening to Google music from my phone.

Totally agree! FM Stereo sounds better and HD Radio, even better still!

Why do you need a AM/FM radio under the sink?
