Good deal if you need a few. If you run out of tiles, the chances are the ones on clearance aren't restocked.

True! When I installed flooring, I had to go to several Lowe's stores to buy enough tile. I saved hundreds of dollars this way, though. It was worth it.

With a tile saw. You can rent one from some Home Depot's or get a cheap one from Harbor Freight.

I've never used Lowe's installation services, so can't comment on that.

You use straight manual tile cutter. It has a diamond blade that makes the cutting mark, then you squeeze to snap the tile. Tile saw is is for small custom cuts. It would take too long to cut if you are cutting dozens of tiles. I have also used angle grinder with tile blade, but it makes alot of dust.

With a Ginsu knife silly.

Makita makes a nice hand-held 12v glass and tile cutter for about $85.

Mist it with a spray bottle before you cut it

It will depend on type and size of tile, if you need to take off 1/4" of a tile or smoothen out the edge good luck doing it on wheel cutter, if cuts all will be 1/2"+ then wheel might do the trick.

Looking to redo kitchen with wood look porcelain tile, not sure what brands are good. Was told that the install of porcelain tiles is way more expensive than hardwood flooring.

Check Craigslist under materials. A crapshoot but has served my customers and I well over the years, provided you're open minded . Everything posted is negotiable. . 30-40% off asking is final price generally . Habitat for Humanity stores are potluck but can be advantageous.
