Anyone know what color the backlite keyboard is?

Also is this a better laptop than the walmart deal from a few days ago

This deal has a better screen, larger stock ssd, in my opinion -- better professor and brand.

Are there typically better deals during BF that is really worth the wait? I am willing to wait....TIA.
Actually, back-to-school is the time to buy for a laptop. Black Friday is all about the rigs/desktops

That link does not have 144 hz display with $880 price. That is another $50 update on top of the price.
I'm seeing $999 for that config. Must have expired but an $880 17"/1660ti would have been a good buy.

Was this a student deal or open box?
open box I believe, I was actually eligible for student deal but the price drop on the open box was better. They also lied about the damage on it to sell it--turned out that it didn't have any scratches or dents and was flawless. I actually just randomly ran into it at my best buy. I guess there should be some sort of reason it was so low. Idk, there is a weird driver issue with the speaker though.

You can find Dell G5 with 1660ti and 8750h CPU for around $900 on Dell Outlet. Sure it is refurb but has 1 year warranty and it is more powerful. Just an option which some people might consider.

Is this the deal your referencing? $300 more for a better processor and double the ram. I don't know if it's worth the extra money, but 300 may be more than a few bucks for most.

$300 more, but i think it will qualify for the $120 slickdeals rebate for what that is worth.

Even this wouldn't make a good (VR) experience due to motion sickness.
That's simply not true. This is on par with an rx 580, which is a very competent VR card. Even ignoring that, VR has deceptively low requirements- I've managed to run many games on an old laptop with a 960m with absolutely no issues, and this thing is leagues better. This is a perfectly fine VR gaming laptop.

Student discount no longer shows?? It's $999 now?

Therefore I'm considering this Samsung notebook 9 pro for $1000 for college student (not for gaming - have ps4 pro for that!) . Appreciate experts' opinion- big thank you !!
