This is not a true 2080, it's a Max-Q which is much slower than a desktop chip. It has half the clock speed of a 2080 and is a poor value.

The base $1379 with a 2060 is not bad for the other specs though and there appears to be a $100 coupon if you sign up for the emails when it pops up. I would seriously consider the 2060 machine if you want a productivity powerhouse that can do double duty for gaming at 1080p high.

The RTX 2080 Max-Q should be slightly faster than a regular mobile RTX 2070and therefore a high end gaming graphics card. It should be able to run all demanding games in 4k with maximum details. Raytracing features however may reduce framerates a lot.

It's still not 2080 level performance. And a 2070 cannot do 4K with max settings. A 2080 Ti can barely do that with some games and maintain a high enough frame rate for a smooth experience.

If people want to buy this, that's fine, but you should mention it's a 2080 Max-Q in the description because it's a 25-50% performance delta depending on the title.

My opinion based on prices. MaxQ of any laptop is a rip off. Always buy the regular laptop gpu version. Either save a lot of money by going with rtx 2070 or spend a little more and go with rtx 2080. MaxQ versions are very similar in performance compared to the tier below but cost quite a bit more

Best value right now is 1660ti in a laptop. Performs competitively with most of the higher end laptop gpus but a lot cheaper
