Not a bad price for this phone at all. Has impressive hardware at this price point. Could see it come down to around $399 in the next few months though. LG struggles big time with trying to re-gain is fan base after many years of total crap phones but so far the g6 g7 and g8 have been pretty good.
G3 was a piece of crap. Sim tray stopped reading. Sent in to fix and after one month it did the same thing. When I got the phone back the screen lifted. Never buy an LG phone again .

LG G2-3 Great
LG G4 bootloop
LG G5 meh so basic
LG G6 meh
LG G7 meh crap camera
LG G8 meh too small, crap camera

This company needs to stop making phone. All the phones are very mediocore compare to Samsung and Oneplus. There is nothing to be proud of owning an LG, not one feature stands out.
I guess there's this thing call a Quad DAC but hey what do I know since from your breakdown above, you're pretty much the expert on all LG phones ApplauseApplauseApplause

I've had the G4 and currently own the G6. I never had the bootloop issue with my G4, but after a mandatory update the phone became too slow so I sold it. I've since been using G6 for 2 yrs now and no issues so far. When this phone dies out on me, I will likely buy another LG but not at this price.

Edit: Never mind.
Thanks for the quick review of all these phones.

Not if you lurk around some of the LG subreddits. There's a reason LG phone prices drop so precipitously.
1.5 years in and I love my V30. No issues and it hasn't turned into a slug like my past Samsung phones (and tablet). I'd recommend and buy again, but still waiting on a good reason.

lolno. This has snapdragon 855, 6gb of ram, and 128gb of storage. It's not even close.
Negated by the lousy LG updates (or lack thereof). Pixel still camera is tops. Pixel batteries can be replaced locally too.

Many pp who owned many LG flagships in the past wouldn't buy another LG phone even at discounted price. The only way for them to get some users back is giving 18-24 months warranty or even life-time warranty if the phone has bootloop issue.
I had two G3s and both crapped out on me faster than any other phone I have ever had so I agree whole hearted with your comment. I'll never buy another flag ship LG phone ever again.

Lg is not easier to root anymore. No one is able to root the g8 and for most variants of the g7 you need an octopus box. They haven't even released an international version with an unlockable bootloader for the g8 last time I checked.
That's a shame to hear. My current (almost dead) phone is the galaxy S5. Many moons ago, I asked on the Cyanogen IRC how to root it and got cursed out by the moderator. An unrootable phone isn't a step down for me.

Also everyone's complaining about slow OS updates but I'm over here on android 6.0 so, you know, I guess it's all relative.

I love my LG V20 and so do many people who use my phone but finding batteries for this thing is becoming a burden. All the ones on Amazon are junk and every seller on eBay says OEM when most are not. I wish I could keep it forever but it's been eating up batteries since I got it 3 years ago. 5 so far.

Bought four LG G4 when they came out. All had bootloop failures. LG replaced mother boards after a lot of trouble and effort on my part. Not inspired to roll the dice on the company again personally but hear they are "doing better" quality wise.

Prove me wrong. When was the last time you see a LG flagship phone in the wild?
Had a G7 ThinQ for a Year with 0 issues-before that I had an LG V20 for years NO problems at all. I love it for the great audio. I've never gotten. the fake hate this thing gets.

Totally agree. The V20 is a much underappreciated phone. The battery life could be a bit better, but otherwise a great value.
