Total BS statement.
Agree with total BS with exception that LG actually gives 2 years warranty with registration.

I have had an LG G8 since jump. Got a great deal $11/ through best buy at launch.
I had 3 LG G4s, 2 dead mics, and then the bootloop. Switched to Galaxy S7.

Yes the big warranty appealled to me. That and G8 is sturdier than the Galaxy products.

Bought this phone when it first sold for this price a few weeks ago. The only problem so far is that the speaker is horrible. Call quality and music are poor because the main speaker is behind the screen. Sound is muted and distorted.

Only LG phone Ive had any technical trouble with was the g6, vibration died after 2 yrs.

Expandable storage?
Yes, will use up to at least a 1TB microSD card. That's one of the main reasons the G8 was on my radar, besides having almost identical specs to the Samsung S10.

Many pp who owned many LG flagships in the past wouldn't buy another LG phone even at discounted price. The only way for them to get some users back is giving 18-24 months warranty or even life-time warranty if the phone has bootloop issue.
True that. Can't stand their battery and bugginess.

Agreed. I had an LG G4 that was great until it started bootlooping. I am super wary of buying from them again, unless it is either very cheap or has long warranty. I have been using a Samsung S8+ for the past 1.5 yrs, and don't plan on swapping until the phone dies. That said, I don't really see why people need to get flagship phones anymore. My GF got a Pixel 3A XL and I think it is just as good as the Samsung.

Had g4 and g6, then essential. Now pixel. Never going back.

I'd chose the pixel 3a xl/3a over this. just saying
got the pixel 3XL after my V20 and hate it. major step backwards, really cant stand the features i lost. Headphone jack? bye. wide camera? nope. glass back? why. no one wants that. freezes and restarts more than my droid Bionic did. screen mirroring or HDMI out? good luck.

I would wait until September and get the Mi 9T Pro when it hits Amazon. If you need a phone now grab the non pro version even, fantastic for the price.

My LG bootlooped before, I thought it only happens in forums or movies

1.5 years in and I love my V30. No issues and it hasn't turned into a slug like my past Samsung phones (and tablet). I'd recommend and buy again, but still waiting on a good reason.
Yeah, I got my V30 for half price a year after it came out. No problems at all, super snappy, minimal LG-branded intrusion, and the Quad DAC sounds effing incredible pumped through my car's audio system. Nobody is having bootloop problems with any of their recent phones, right?

I had a G4, V30 and now a G7. Not one phone is reliable. I LOVED my G4 before it and the replacement phone bootlooped. If I wasn't so cheap, I would move on from LG. I can't stand curved glass and Samsung only uses it. My G7 doesn't although the V30 did.
Get a OnePlus device if on gsm network. Never go back to lg

I purchased G8 when it came out, so far I am pleased. Things I don't like: it's slow to start, not too many accessories available, speaker is not great (due to its location). However I like that LG gave me extra year warranty (2 yr total), so far battery is good, good screen, and I really like the camera especially the wide angle feature.
