YMMV but brickseek says 62% of stores have them. Tried a few different zips and it seems many locations have just a few or a whole bunch within proximity to each other.

None local, but all around me, 10-24+ miles away. Repped.

Has anyone actually found these in a store? My store said they had 35 but none were found. I like to look on SD to find Walmart Brickseek deals that have been verified. I would rather not read posts about these items that have only been discovered on Brickseek with no verification. Please do us a favor and only post real deals. Anyone can look on Brickseek and find many deals that don't really exist because of bad inventory practices at some Walmart stores.

BS claims my store has 42. If I have time I may stop by on the way home in a day or 2. But is .25c each a good deal for AA batteries?

Had a similar issue a few weeks back on a Walmart brickseek deal... is there any other way to verify before driving to a store?

With these battery deals, a lot of times you will not find them on the main battery display near the checkouts (sometimes you will). Usually, a front end supervisor/employee does those resets and with clearance merchandise it is either put into one of the clearance aisles near the front checkout or in a totally different part of the store.

Batteries are tricky. Your stores may have those quantities, but they're on a strip in electronics, baby aisle, toys, or even in sporting. If you really want them, you will have to go down every aisle.

I am very methodical and systematic. The management at most of my local walmart stores know me and have become a little friendly and usually ask 'what the deal of the day' is today. There have been a few times where I believe the front end items are sitting in a bin in the back because the employee(s) are/were too lazy to put them somewhere else for clearance.

Thanks for the tip. I walked around Walmart methodically for about 15 minutes with no luck. Maybe I had lazy employees like the ones you referenced but just a word to the wise that the brickseek deals at Walmart can be difficult to find even if brickseek says they're in stock.

Everyone bitches like it's a Brickseek problem. Brickseek reports what Walmart says it has. Stores that are always inaccurate usually have a management problem or a theft problem. If you do it enough, you'll learn which stores to avoid.

It says that a store by me has 60 of these, and I still know it's waste of my time based on past experience with that particular store. Once you figure it which stores are better managed and stay in top of their counts, the less time you'll waste. Brickseek is awesome once you get the hang of it.
