This is the cheapest it has ever been on Amazon. While this is still only 1080 pixels high it may work for a number of people and use cases.
  • 34 Inch UltraWide 21:9 Full HD IPS Monitor with HDR10 and AMD FreeSync (2018)
  • HDR10 compatible
  • AMD FreeSync technology
  • sRGB 99% Color Gamut
  • On-Screen Control with Screen Split
  • Refresh Rate: 75 Hz (over DisplayPort)
  • 2560 x 1080 pixels

Dimensions: 32.5 x 9.1 x 22.5 inches
Weight: 16.8 lbs.

The HDR10 compatible 34WK650-W, 34 inch UltraWide (21: 9 aspect ratio) layout gives movies and games the space they demand, while easily enabling multiple Windows to help get more work done. IPS technology enhances viewing angles and color reproduction, which has over 99% sRGB coverage. And AMD FreeSync supports a premium gaming experience.

He is talking about 1440p ultrawide. Having said that I wish I could get the 34UM88 at this price or close to it

For this size, sucks that it's only 1080p, but wouldn't expect 1440p for this price.

Many people prefer the ultra wide 1080p 2k. It gives you a nice field of vision in games.

This is at Costco for the same price. Get it there for returns and warranty. Amazon is a waste of time when its sold at Costco.

I have not seen an LG 34WK650-W monitor at my two local Costco warehouses in SoCal, or Costco.com online. I've been looking lately at widescreen monitors and looking each time I go, maybe a case of YRMV?

Not everyone has a CostCo account, so this is a better alternative for everyone else.

I purchased two of these a couple weeks ago. Use it for work, mostly email, Excel and the sort... they've been great so far, no complaints.

Yeah, not sure how the HDR10 looks on a 1080p, though I suppose it's really just a contrast enhancer. Wouldn't go any bigger than a 30" ultrawide at 1080p. Sceptre just came out with a really nice 30" 2560/1080 21:9 ultrawide at 200hz, only $299 at Amazon

I read that this is not great for text... can someone recommend a similar sized, curved monitor that is good for text? I saw one of the Dell Ultrasharps in person and it looks great, but the price was pretty steep.

I just got the 34um60p from Rakuten last week. Reading text isn't bad at all to me. The only thing I see different between this monitor and the one I got is this one got hdr10?
