Man I want to buy from Newegg for the no tax, but I don't know how long it'll be before they restock over there...

I was finally able to find a 3700X at Best Buy. Hopefully this short supply ends soon.

Amazon might be better in case you have to RMA it. Newegg denied my RMA for bent pin on a CPU which was faulty.

So $500 AMD 3900X + x570 Motherboard $200 x570 ASUS TUF

I'd rather wait for ThreadRipper in December since Gaming is not about Core Clocks anymore it's about Threads.

I'll take a 16 Core 32 Thread 3rd Gen ThreadRipper 3 3950X @ $700 and 4.6Ghz all Cores

That will smoke anything Intel can launch at 8 or 12 Cores. And will give ThreadRipper PCI Express 4.0 and Thunderbolt 3

I don't see a reason to buy this processor over the 3700x. If you are a true content creator and can take advantage of more than 8 cores, might as well go all out for the 16 cores.

OP, you don't have to update title with SOLD OUT status. Mods will mark deal expired. Plus, Amazon often likes to add stock randomly, so this item may become available again.

I'm building a new video editing rig and what I an finding in my research is that 10-12 cores is the sweet spot for encoding and other video processing. I think that really makes the 3900x a good deal for this use, even over the TR processors.
