Is it possible to not use the dedicated GPU? It probably hurts battery life a lot.

Not seeing what is so special about this, I am not saying this is bad but 8GB Ram and 128gb for 600$ plus tax doesn't sound like a deal to me.

I would probably get a latest Surface with this specs but why laptop?

42watt battery seems concerning with a i7.

Yeah I am sort of thinking it's not amazing. It's a bit better than the surface one and I'm not really into surface products. A 128gb ssd can cost like $20 and a 1tb can cost $30. I don't really need the i7 or gpu. 8gb is okay for my use. Tax is so bad too.

Would this be a good laptop for basic photo uploading/editing? My current laptop is getting pretty old, and it slows me down sometimes... One concern is the 14" screen though.

Beats me too. Laptop deals are a dime a dozen nowadays, but this one is not stellar. Lowest-end dedicated graphics, smallest SSD, non-touch and an i5 in the i7 price range. Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)

I don't know, maybe 14" laptop deals are not as common (are they?) and that's why? Confused

EDIT: My mistake: It's an i7. I judged by the review that was linked a few replies back.

Would be slick with a better sized SSD and battery for me.
I think I'll wait out a 7000 series Vostro.

It's not an i5 in the i7 price range. It has an i7 processor.

Probably because the 13-14" laptops sell like hotcakes and rarely need to be discounted.
