Reviews are solid. nice SSD plus the 1TB for the extra space I need. Low powered but dedicated graphics card for a little extra strength. Seems to not really sacrifice on power or portability too much either! 5 hours battery life when using GPU and up to 9 hrs when not thanks to the 3 cell battery. Still only 3.3 lbs and thanks to the thin bezels it's only the size of a 13" - EXACTLY what I wanted. Perhaps not the BEST screen but it's HD and small/portable, so I'm sure it will be good enough.

EDIT: I feel like I jumped the gun and didn't want to let another deal slip away. After researching briefly, I figured that after tax this $650 deal is merely pretty good (not bad at all!) but that I could find similarly specced items fairly ubiquitous for around $600 or a bit less. I think I'm going to cancel.

Please post up what you will buy in the alternative.

$499 would be a slickdeal. At $599 it's a warm deal.

You're basically paying 99 dollars for the 1TB HDD that you don't want/need. =-[

Isn't the Costco VivoBook laptop a superior deal?

Completely different class, the Vostro is business class, and comes with Pro, and just a generally better build. Also dedicated vram

Thanks for the info.

"business class" sounds like marketing speak and the ASUS has slightly better video performance. The ASUS keyboard looks bad,and no HDD., but still $200 cheaper.

Great deal-- just $90 from i7/16GB/512GB nvme...with IPS FHD display at that. And 2GB dedicated graphics better than integrated.

Too bad it's 3.42 Lbs., as I'm a road warrior and every ounce matters. I'd prolly pull that 1TB HDD to saves the couple ounces. Plus can't figure out that bezel from photos...like two different laptops depicted.

How can you have non touch at this price?
1. Are you serious?
2. Who cares? Touchscreen is so overrated.

R/laptopdeals has this amazon deal stickied:
2018 Dell 2-in-1 13.3" FHD TouchScreen High Performance Business Laptop, AMD Ryzen 7 2700U 2.2GHz, AMD Radeon RX Vega 10, 12GB DDR4, 256GB SSD, Webcam, Backlit Keyboard, HDMI, Windows 10 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07DF9K...uDbNJGY8F3

It's 570$ and charged me no tax, so an almost $100 difference. Processor and graphics card are roughly equal, with a slight edge going to this deal. But this amazon deal has 12gb ram vs 8 which more than makes up the difference. Battery life, weight etc all seem to be a wash. Screen definitely seems a bit better on this SD but is not my top priority over price and performance.

[[I also have the privilege of living next to a microcenter (which is like cheating I know) and they have an acer aspire 5 w a new ryzen 5 3500U and 512gb ssd, 8 gb expandable ram for 449.]] so I'll probably be going with the Acer, but if not I'd do the Amazon deal for sure. Just got my refund from this SD.

It's not an i5 in the i7 price range. It has an i7 processor.
Yeah, I stand corrected. It is an i7. I judged by the review that was linked a few replies back (it's an i5 in there).

i believe this is the same processor thats in the 17"LG gram and that computer was shown to be able to edit RAW video from a canon c200 in adobe premiere (without a dedicated GPU).

That microcenter one looks pretty good but it's 15.6" so too big for me.

Yeah, to me the 14inch was a very nice perk but not quite a necessity and the savings make it worth sucking it up for my needs. But like I said I'd take that dell listed on amazon over this deal even if the microcenter one wasn't possible.

$90 from what? There's another one with 16GB?
