Stellar deal on a "budget" gaming machine that should be able to play any modern game at 1080 high with solid frame rates. I just built a rig with a 2600x and a 570 for the same ish price, and it can handle anything I throw at it with ease.

I'd go with the Acer. Cpu has higher base/boost clock and 580 should edge out the 1050gtx.

the Acer will be much better. 30 FPS 1080 with the HP and 60 FPS 1080 with the ACER

the 580 is significantly better then the 1050. which will give you higher FPS

the intel processor (6 core 6 thread) is slightly better then the AMD(4 core 8 thread). but the amd is slightly faster.

Sorry one more question. I just bought this one for my son for $429. I'd have to get this Acer one shipped so it would be $508 for me, is this one worth the extra $80? Thanks

Yes it's absolutely worth it. The one you linked is severely outdated.

That's what I thought - maybe a 2600X with a bad core? AMD used to do that in the old days with Athlons and Semprons.

NOOOOOO~that ibuypower is pure junk (at least compare to this Acer). the (outdated) FX-6300 is a $80 processor to Ryzen 5 2500x' (guesstimate) $180, the (miserable) Nvidia GT1030 is a $80 GPU to RX 580's $180. last-gen DDR3 ram to now-standard DDR4 ram. the only thing going for the ibuypower is the OMGRGB, it's OH-SO-PRETTY~to distract you from its lack of interval values. The Acer is pretty tightly priced, you might actually spend more money otherwise building a similar system buying new parts individually and not to mention the extra time and energy take to build one. Besides, the AM4 platform provides you with easy upgradability for easy another 5 years down the road. The moment you purchased that obsolete ibuypower you are stuck in 2015 forever .

Thanks guys, just ordered the Acer! I hadn't even picked up the other one yet from Walmart so I can cancel it without even having to go in the store.
