This page can also be reached by typing the word RETRO in their trade value lookup tool on their site.

They gave me $200-250 for a first year PS4 ad $200 for an XBOX One S that I paid $180 plus $40 Kohls cash for. Was able to roll into a One X and I consider that very worth it for two consoles that were worth about half that on the used market.
No wonder they're going out of business.

That's a great deal. I've been waiting for a deal like that but seems like I missed out. Maybe something comes up when the Nintendo switch lite is release.

I got Wolfenstein New Order PC for $1 and Infinite Warfare for $2. But I had to return both for replacements. Ended up with working codes from new condition games by the end of it but they had to ship Wolfenstein cross country by the 4th time I showed up there looking to get it replaced XD

so has anyone seen if this is a per trade or as a bundle? ie. if I go in with 10 games, am I getting $5 each or $5 total? I'll do 50x gamestop runs if needed, heck I got 50 tshirts I'll throw in the back of the car hehe!
I read it as per game, but wanted to know if anyone had experience yet with how gamestop interprets this..
Also, $2 per game, I'm assuming is base trade in value before pro account incentives.
$5 per game, great deal for older titles, i traded a bunch in yesterday

It's funny how much flack Gamestop gets for trade in but I've seen hundreds of titles and almost all systems get less trade in value at places like Best Buy and Target.

Seems with this deal (+$5) they are matching what BestBuy gives. Better off going to BestBuy since you can preorder games and get $10 back. That's just my opinion.
This is not accurate based on several games I looked up, so YMMV. Right now, GS is the better deal with the +$5, especially if trading more than 1 game.

I wonder how long Gamestop will be around.

The digital revolution is really hurting them. I prefer physical discs still but even I can't remember when the last time I shopped at gamestop was (they're too expensive)
It's gotta be tight, but I'm thinking families with young children still enjoy the experience of seeing the games and getting recommendations. That's all true with malls though, and that didn't help them in the end. It'll come down to their organizational structure. How much money do they have, what services might they offer in the future, etc. Every business has a chance to adapt, but not always the structure to do so.

trading in games bought from RedBox works right? I just have to take off the sticker on the disc?

The thing that hurts them to me, is the stupid process of removing the discs and putting the box on the shelf. Then needing to rifle their grubby hands to get the disc and put it back in a case that a bunch of other grubby people have touched.

If I'm buying a brand new physical copy of something, I want an unopened, brand new copy of something.

It's $5 each game. I walked in with 38 crappy games yesterday and walked out with $400 trade credit.
