They lower the trade in price of a lot of games.

This is a great deal if you have a bunch of older games laying around to get rid of. As long as it's around $2 base this is the best time to trade them. Got almost $400 yesterday.

so has anyone seen if this is a per trade or as a bundle? ie. if I go in with 10 games, am I getting $5 each or $5 total? I'll do 50x gamestop runs if needed, heck I got 50 tshirts I'll throw in the back of the car hehe!
I read it as per game, but wanted to know if anyone had experience yet with how gamestop interprets this..
Also, $2 per game, I'm assuming is base trade in value before pro account incentives.
correct the $2 is before the pro member edition. How so I shouldn't say the games I traded in their crappy per se. Most of them just didn't have cases. Some were scratch without cases. I had a bunch of loose copies of Mortal Kombat trilogy Final Fantasy 7 and revolt for Dreamcast that I had got from a previous GameStop sale few years ago for $3 a piece. I wasn't able to move any of those copies so this was a nice way to make my money back plus some.

other stuff was from rummage sales in bundles that had purchased on Craigslist that were basically useless to me.

It's funny how much flack Gamestop gets for trade in but I've seen hundreds of titles and almost all systems get less trade in value at places like Best Buy and Target.
I've had a couple games I've been trying to sell through Facebook Marketplace, OfferUp, and Craigslist over the last week. Competitive prices, but no takers except for Sekiro at $30. Amazon and Best Buy trade in values weren't any better than Gamestop's. Estarland had a couple higher trade in prices, but they weren't even accepting trades for most of my games and the shipping cost they'd take out of only sending 2-3 games just didn't make it worth it.

With this promotion I ended up getting more than I was asking for on Far Cry 5 (asked for $10 on FB/OfferUp/CL, got $10.50 from GS), Dark Souls Remastered (A: $15, GS: $16), Dark Souls 2 (A: $10, GS: $14.90), Dark Souls 3 (A: $10, GS: $14.90), Titanfall 2 (A: $5, GS: $7.20), Prey (A: $5, GS: $7.20), Resident Evil Origins (A: $10, GS: $13.80) and Shadow of War (A: $5, GS: $7.20).

I got a little less than I was looking for on Monster Hunter World (A: $15, GS: $13.80), Fractured But Whole (A: $10, GS: $7.20), and Fallout 76 (A: $15, GS: $10.50), but considering I couldn't find buyers I'm not particularly bothered by the lower TiV.

I balked at the $21.50 Gamestop was offering for Resident Evil 2 because I figured I shouldn't have a problem finding somebody to buy it for $30 eventually, but it's $38 new on Amazon and part of a B1G1 50% so I might just trade it in towards the end of this Gamestop promotion if I can't find anybody to buy it for at least $25 by then.

I don't think I'd trade half the games I did if I was just getting their regular trade in values at Gamestop, but this promotion is pretty great.

I wonder how long Gamestop will be around.

The digital revolution is really hurting them. I prefer physical discs still but even I can't remember when the last time I shopped at gamestop was (they're too expensive)
The only reason I get collectors items from gamestop is because the boxes always arrive damaged from Amazon.

This is an extra $5 per game, so if you have some shitty DS or 3DS Wii games lying about that even your kids don't want to play - trade in the ones >2for a couple bucks and buy the biggest Netflix gift card you can. I stick with Nintendo since the other system game values never hold up or worth checking tbh

I like Gamestop for what it is. I find older games I missed for dirt cheap when they aren't necessarily on sale on the PSN store. It reads like one game must equal $2 or more, FYI.

They gave me $200-250 for a first year PS4 ad $200 for an XBOX One S that I paid $180 plus $40 Kohls cash for. Was able to roll into a One X and I consider that very worth it for two consoles that were worth about half that on the used market.
Did the same but my cousin worked at Kohl's and got an Xbox for 120 sold that and my PS4 Slim both for 500 and got a Fallout X with Red Dead for 460 bucks, steal of the year

Online shopping and digital, in general, is killing big box stores.

From what I'm gathering, Gamestop seems to have adapted to the market as an online retailer. I believe they even have warehouses across the country for the expected 1-3 day shipping times we're all accustomed to.

My educated guess is that they may eventually bail on this market like Best Buy did. They might close a few stores. But I don't see them folding as a company any time soon.

I traded in 3 games last week, the first time in probably 10 years. They offered me cash or credit, the exact same value/amount. When I check the trade in link on the OP, it has cash as a lower value now. Is that new? Accurate?

that is generally the case but i have had 4 trades sitting in my GS app for the past couple weeks and they are all still the same value. that said, anyone wanting to do this should trade in their games ASAP before values drop.
