Link to all the classic games they take (able to filter by console, TIV, etc): https://www.gamestop.com/trade/?q...ng=default

This page can also be reached by typing the word RETRO in their trade value lookup tool on their site.

I'm sure their list of 25 cent trade-in games just got huge!

I wonder how long Gamestop will be around.

The digital revolution is really hurting them. I prefer physical discs still but even I can't remember when the last time I shopped at gamestop was (they're too expensive)

Seems with this deal (+$5) they are matching what BestBuy gives. Better off going to BestBuy since you can preorder games and get $10 back. That's just my opinion.

so has anyone seen if this is a per trade or as a bundle? ie. if I go in with 10 games, am I getting $5 each or $5 total? I'll do 50x gamestop runs if needed, heck I got 50 tshirts I'll throw in the back of the car hehe!
I read it as per game, but wanted to know if anyone had experience yet with how gamestop interprets this..
Also, $2 per game, I'm assuming is base trade in value before pro account incentives.

Their console trade in prices have brought me in 3 times in the last 2 years. But they didn't make that much on the transaction.

My sentiments exactly. I went into a GS a month ago for the first time in almost 2 years it think and my jaw dropped at their prices for some older games. The only time a shopping with them makes sense these days if the clear things out (good luck finding anything) or during a buy 2, get 1 free if you can find more recent releases used.

I only go to gamestop if they have a rare, clearanced/discounted game that is available for store pickup, or whatnot, I can't find anywhere else.

That's what my friend said too. I don't typically trade in old consoles (or games), it's never worth it enough for me to part with my old tech (I'd rather have spares, lol)

They gave me $200-250 for a first year PS4 ad $200 for an XBOX One S that I paid $180 plus $40 Kohls cash for. Was able to roll into a One X and I consider that very worth it for two consoles that were worth about half that on the used market.

I traded in a bunch of loose crap games I had stocked away yesterday that I had mostly procured from buying bundles of games and systems and from rummage sales. Some had lots of scratches and would be hard to even give away. Ended up walking out with $380 in trade credit for mostly junk. Traded in 38 titles.
