Mine came in on Wednesday last week, I hooked it up, did a test print, configured the printer via it's web settings. Since then I've come into the office to try and scan and the printer is completely unresponsive. The power button light is on, but no buttons nor the screen respond. I'm forced to unplug and plug it back it in. This has happened twice now in five days, but since I haven't checked on the printer it might be hanging sooner and I'm just not noticing it.

Could this be related to people's complaints about the printer coming on every 24 hours? I haven't noticed mine doing that. I've played with both energy saver mode 1 and 2, currently have both on but it also hung with just mode 2 on (default).

It's every 24 hours, but yes it is super annoying. I love everything about this printer except the 24 hour loud wakeup. Each time it wakes up, it then stays awake for maybe 10 minutes then goes back to sleep. So, the 24 hour wakeup is actually slightly later in the day every day, eventually happening late at night.

Since I don't print a lot, I just completely turn the printer off when not using it. It's a minor annoyance in the grand scheme of things.
No, mine wakes up much more frequently than 24 hours. Many times a day.
