Be prepared to pay 4 to 7 dollars per month per camera for the Kasa Spot cam unless you only want to go back a few hours in time.

After having Wyze, Arlo, and this Kasa. Kasa is my favorite, but likely due to my specific priorities.

Arlo's forte is outdoor cameras (especially the battery models), but their indoor equivalent to this is ~$130+ on sale. They have a 7 day window for recorded videos. The Arlo app is somewhat "heavy" compared to the Kasa or Wyze apps.

The Wyze system is great value, and I really like their Wyze sense add-ons (another $20) for door sensors. Their $8 WiFi light bulbs are an amazing value, but I haven't tried them myself. The camera itself is only 720p upscaled (upsampled?) to 1080p per a coworker who has dug into their firmware. Before he noted that, I think I could tell the image isn't quite as good as either of the other two cameras IMHO. They have a 5 minute cool down between triggered videos and only record 12 seconds per trigger, but they also allow for SD card continuous recording. It sounds great, but has been pretty painful to navigate; I wish triggers and rolling sd footage we merged.

Kasa has a light weight app, and it's the same app that is used with all their WiFi light switches, etc. One of the biggest benefits to me is the ability to create Android widgets to check on our dogs before heading home. Kasa works great with my Lenovo display with Google home (Arlo sometimes works and Wyze never has). We also use it as a baby monitor (yeah I know, privacy), and one of the biggest down sides is the giant 2-way audio button. Unprompted my wife noted how much better she's liking the Kasa app. I just wish they didn't cancel the doorbell, which both is a disappointment and raises some concern about their future.

The difference between the KC100 and KC 120 is subtle.
KC 100
- 1080p
- 15 fps
- 2.4 GHz WiFi
- plastic build
- Kasa spot free plan is only a 12 hour window for saved videos
- basic double screw-hole mounting

KC 120
- 1080p
- 30 fps
- 2.4 + 5 GHz WiFi
- nicer metal build
- free plan has 48 hour window for saved videos
- mount with magnetic base

Drat I need a security cam that is good for a small business, cloud storage and able to view via an app in real time. Every camera has such negative reviews when I search it such as hacked, firmware unsecured etc. it's giving me a massive headache

Good price for the outdoor cam. That's how much I got mine for and that was rare that it ever went at that price. It's been going strong to in the Texas heat. The mic is ultra sensitive to wind and sometimes it's a pain to get it going on the Google displays.

Good call. Does this also apply to the KC200 and KC120 Cam.

KC200 - The camera includes two days of free cloud storage. A Kasa Care subscription is required for more than two days of cloud storage.

KC200 doesn't seem to have night vision. Am I missing something?

The important question is why would I buy this instead of Wyze?

No. Kc200 you can go back 2 days with no subscription but ONLY if it recorded something. You can't view 24/7 footage.
