Performance and warranty wise is similar to a 970 evo.

Unless you are into the brand, other NVMe drive with Phison E12 & 64L 3D TLC NAND (ex: Sabrent Rocket, Inland premium, MyDigitalSSD BPX Pro, MP510, Addlink S70, etc) is better from cost to performance point of view.

Ive had this for about a year now. It's been solid and runs consistently cool/stable on my 2017 blade 14. Ive tried other nvme's such as sabrent rocket and xpg x8200 pro and the wd has had much cooler temps and maintains consistent speed and performance vs the other 2 mentioned. WD also wont void your warranty if you remove the sticky label on the drive. They go off of the serial/model number thats reported from the wd dashboard software. I also got this drive used locally for much cheaper. This is last years model sn702 which is about 5% slower than the current model sn750. They're the exact same drive except wd tweaked the new gens firmware to perform a bit faster.
