Just noticed it is down from $139.99. I submitted feedback already on Amazon to see if they'll match the price.

Please submit the lower price to Amazon, so it would be helpful for people with Prime membership.

After doing some brief research, these are shuckable but have WD Green drives in them. Have to go with the MyBook or EasyBook for White/Reds.
That is very helpful. Why are people calling that unhelpful??

What's the lowest these drives tend to go, in price?
$130 is a regular sale price. Newegg had them for $125 a little over a month ago.

Exactly what research was that? As far as I can tell, all of the external WD 8TB and 10TB drives are Whitelabels and the largest capacity Green WD makes is 6TB.

Edit: I bought one just over one month ago.

You are incorrect. The Elements and the Easy Stores have the exact same White label drives in them. I know this as I just shucked 2 each of these a week and a half ago and put them into my NAS and BOTH the 8TB Elements and 8TB Easy Stores had white labeled 8TB drives with the exact same model numbers. They are NOT green label drives.

What does "hdparm -iI /dev/sda" or the Western Digital drive diagnostic utility say?

They're only supposed to charge tax if they are operating on the same state where you live.
You are still required to pay use tax if they don't collect the sales tax.

Can anyone confirm this is an air filled or helium filled one?
I remember seeing discussion saying elements are air filled and easystores are helium filled. But recently people found both are air filled.

Yet they are collecting sales tax and not a use tax.
