Don't try it. Your 4.5 probably spins too fast for these wheels. Usually 6 inch spin slower. Especially with removing the guard you don't want the disc exploding in your face. It's not worth the risk.

Probably shouldn't... Made for the 6" grinders. I'm sure someone has done it but I would not recommend. Stick with the proper blade for the tool you have.

The max. rpm on this wheel is 10,100. A 4.5" wheel can be 13,000+ rpm. The 6" wheel can come apart on a 4.5" grinder. Even more dangerous because you'd have to remove the guard to use the 6" wheel. DON'T try this.

Can you use the 6" on a 4.5" grinder without the guard?

It's $1 less. Worth the risk. Skin heals.
Your an idiot. The 4.5" 5 pack is only 60¢ more...don't listen to this idiot, even if he's playing around it's wrong to do it, there are people that will listen. You do know you're potential liable if someone got hurt from your stupid advise, right? Look up the case of Michelle Carter or any YouTube channel that mention "do not try this at home"

The description is a bit lacking - do I need a CD, DVD or Blu-ray player to use this?

Laser disc. DeWalt's greatest hits from the 70's through the 80's.

Do you have a link to the 5 pack for 60 cents more?
