Why the downvotes? Seems like a decent deal to me

I didn't downvote, but I will tell you that in 2016 I was buying the 4TB hard drives for this price ($70-ish). Three years later, no way in hell I'll pay $78 for a 4TB.

The camels show that this is indeed the all-time low for this drive and that it was selling for well over $100 back in 2016. Nevertheless, today I'd rather buy the 6TB version for $104 as I need more space:

2 of WD 2TB I paid $69.99 and 1 of Seagate 4TB I paid $70. They are still working perfectly as this writing, although I use them to back up my 8TB now. The Seagate 4TB has just over 20,000 hours power on time.

About "back up". I don't do anything fancy. Just have two copies of the stuff I care about, and keep them on separate hard drives. The back up hard drives are unplugged. That's all.

I bought my hard drives on eBay. I got lucky. Nowadays I only look for 10TB. I already bought one for $150. Don't ask for link because I wouldn't know.
