Looks like there is some extreme variation in current prices on these. I just grabbed a couple for under $12 each. Some stores are a little less, some are still over $30.

I bought one of these to temporarily cover a damaged roof. The grommets were falling out of it as I was trying to install it. I ended up taking it back to Lowe's and purchasing one at Walmart (for less money) and the one from Walmart was much better quality.

If you don't need the grommets, it's an okay tarp. Otherwise, I'd buy something else.

I bought one of these (smaller size) at the beginning of this year since I needed an inexpensive tarp to protect a fire pit in the yard from the summer rain. In the past 5-6 months, it has essentially disintegrated. There is a massive tear in the fabric simply from laying on top of a blunt edge of the fire pit and now any light touch to the fabric also causes it to tear.

For context, I live in the south - while we have had our share of stormy days, the majority of this damage seems to have been done by the summer heat alone. I'd stay away from this particular brand of tarp unless you're looking for something disposable after a season.

If anyone has any recommendations for reliable tarps, I would appreciate it.
