In case the CLEARANCE10 code stops working, another working 10% code is EXTRA10.
No, it doesn't stack.

I think they have tighter flow restrictions. Edit: 1.8 GPM.

It's 1.8 GPM. BS restrictions. People just remove restrictiors and actually end up using a lot more water. Comifornia does not want your showerhead to flow any faster than you can piss, basically.

Don't plumbing supply stores sell different flow rated restrictors you can swap to for a couple of bucks?
We experienced a cheesy older showerhead while staying at an Air BnB home in San Diego. The landlord said the has a hard time finding decent ones to code, and they come and inspect them. He said they come down hard on this. The thing was I didn't mind the low flow so much as the nasty appearance of it in his very modern remodeled shower stall and bathroom. I even offered to get him one, but he never followed up.

Shame because it stuck out like a sore thumb. I think he was just making an excuse not to upgrade. There must be some 1.8 GPM models that look and work decently.

California is one of the most strict states to live in , seems like everything is prop 65 or no straws. Ok I get those two but seriously you can't have a great shower either 🧐 , yeah never moving there .

My uncle had to find a third party person to ship his showerhead into California.

When I go traveling, I carry my very own special showerhead with me.

Do you need to purchase the matching arm or will it work with the existing? Not sure if this a standard size.
