It also includes Control. Two AAA games. They should be easy to flip.

Deal looks pretty darn good, very tempting. My biggest question is the noise. I'm pretty picky, and debating spending an extra ~$30-50 for a beefier model for quieter operation under load. Else, wait for a much cheaper (and cooler/quieter) GTX 1660 ti to go on sale for ~$200-220.

For comparison, the stubby triple slot evga that was reviewed heavily back when rtx launched is a 3 slot card (2.75) w/ 190mm length. That card is notorious for being loud and/or hot unless down-clocked and/or undervolted. That evga card has also consistently been cheap because of its tiny size requiring less materials. This Asus TUF is thinner (2.3 slot card), but longer 204mm. It's also a bit taller in height. All that extra board size etc could make it a bit easier to dissapate heat.

Unlike a lot of slicksters, I've never had a single problem getting my rebates in over 20 years of PC building. Combined with the free games (mainly Control which looks kickass), decent chance I'll bite on this.

Thanks OP!

The word on this one is that it isn't loud but it isn't quiet.

These video cards need to be looked at in the context where and how these will be used rather than a one size fits all solution.

For example, if space is not a concern (height or length) but noise/heat is, then one needs to look for a good deal on the largest card that will fit with well controlled fan software. EVGA 1660ti XC ultra gaming is a good one for this in the sub $300 range. I am waiting for this one to go down to $250 all-in.

If it is in a smaller form factor case, you look for a smaller card and compromise not going at max speed and resolution (buy a bigger case otherwise) so the card stays silent and cool but at the expense of width and max performance.

RTX 2060 has a performance advantage over the GTX 1660ti with ray-tracing (which I expect will become more of a necessity in many AAA games over the next year or two). But it uses more power and I would recommend it for cases with a good air flow, not just depend on the video card's cooling in a congested case. GTX 1660ti will work with less requirements on the build and may be sufficient if you are not always at the forefront of max gaming.

On the other hand, you can let a great deal decide for you. Smilie

Wouldn't this be $290 with code and rebate? Or am I missing something?

Price/performance ratio and power/performance ratio is about the same for both.

So if you need more GPU performance than 2060, don't need to replace the PSU to accommodate the rx 5700, and the additional cost is not an issue then the 5700 is a good choice.

Otherwise, this one is.

I believe the rx 5700 is about the same performance as rtx 2060 Super. This one is slower.

I said price/performance ratio is the same, not performance. You pay more for more performance.

I mentioned in that post "if you need more performance than 2060....".

Not sure I can be any more clearer. Smilie
