I highly recommend against getting the physical version of Starlink. It ties you to buying physical toys for the extra ships. The Digital Deluxe version grants you every ship without having to buy physical toys.

GCU discount doesn't work on this bundle if anyone is wondering.

I already own both games, but went through checkout process just to see if GCU works for kicks and giggles.

"Unless you're an obsessive collector like me, there's no reason to spend that much. If you're merely toy curious, I'd recommend picking up a starter kit and seeing how it feels to play a game with a spaceship connected to your controller. I enjoy looking down and seeing a physical manifestation of my on-screen presence in my hands. Your results may vary. If it's not your thing, you can always pick up more ships, pilots and weapons as paid digital DLC."

I had no idea about physical not being able to unlock other than by physical purchases. That really stinks.

I'd get this deal if I didn't already have starlink. Also Rabbids isn't gold edition otherwise I would get it.

That's not true. It's just that you start with way fewer things.

I haven't played either of these games. Is this a good buy?

No not really , like the other guy said , you are only handicapping yourself by buying a physical version of Starlink. Switching ships , weapons and pilots is a pain in the ass to do when it's mounted to your controller. I wish I would have bought digital as you can just cycle weapons via the menu

This deal is more for those scabs that are going to split and resell on Craigslist / Offerup

Do you have to use the toy aspects of this game? I'm not really interested in that whole feature.

For me I'd buy it because I'm a Starfox fan and I gotta have that Arwing. The toys are actually pretty good in terms of quality. You can open and close the diffuser? (blue part of the wings) and the wings itself can be removed and interchange with other ships. Same deal with the weapons. The Arwing as well as some of the other ships and weapons actually lights on certain area when you play the game with them attached. If you're interested in getting the physical copy for the Arwing then I recommend it. It's a good looking addition to have on the shelf.

I find that additional physical ships and weapons are usually on sale often. I picked up a few pack of three weapons for around $3 - $4 bucks (with GCU) each. Forgot the sales price of the ships though. I only bought 1 or 2 other ships because I like the way they looked. They come with a pilot and a weapon as well.

You don't need any other ships or weapons to enjoy and beat the game FYI. The Arwing has the signature twin laser and charge shot if you don't want to use other weapons for that Starfox experience.

Regarding the syncing of the toys you can actually sync all the ships, pilots and weapons once every 7 days. Then you can just play the game with any controls and switch out ships, pilots and weapons in the menu instead of doing it physically. Yeah you still have to sync the toys but this makes it more bearable.

For me the price is decent enough. Sucks that Rabbid Kingdom isn't the gold edition but half the time I don't play DLC so I'm fine with it.

If you just want the Starfox ship then get this cause I highly doubt any grown adult will play Starlink. I made it an hour into it and forgot I own it. And for Mario + Rabbids? This is one of the best tactic turn-based games on the system to my knowledge. Even the season pass is worth it.

If you like XCOM, you'll love Mario + Rabbids.
